Products

The products on our website are an invitation to treat and not an offer. Products are subject to availability but should a product be out of stock we reserve the right to substitute an alternative of at least the same value. Normally we will endeavour to contact you first.

Prices and Payment

The price we charge is that displayed on our Website at the time of ordering. Although we endeavour to maintain accurate prices, we reserve the right to correct a price if an error has been made. You will be entitled to either accept the new price or cancel and accept a refund. Payment is taken at the time of ordering and is processed by a secure Payment Provider. The registered address of the card holder is required in order to validate the transaction.

Ordering

Please fill in all information as requested. Accurate information is essential to ensure a trouble-free delivery. If your delivery address may be difficult to find please give more detailed information in the box provided.

Delivery Charges

Our delivery charges are displayed on the home page of our website. When you go through the ordering process your delivery charges are calculated automatically and are subject to VAT.

Acceptable Weight Variation

Many of our products are a nominal weight at a specified price. Because orders are individually prepared, it can be expected that there may be some small variation in weight above or below the size ordered. We will ensure this variation is within 10% of the weight ordered.

  • Most of our products are made to order so we are only able to deliver on a Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, except after a Bank Holiday when we will be unable to deliver on a Wednesday. It may be possible to deliver on a Tuesday, by arrangement on the telephone 01780 763345, if the goods you are ordering are available.
  • We can deliver to most mainland addresses and also some offshore islands where a next day delivery is offered. A surcharge will be levied on deliveries to the Scottish Highlands, Guernsey, Jersey, Isle of Man and Isle of Wight. Delivery dates cannot be guaranteed.
  • Goods are delivered by carrier before 4pm on the requested day of delivery. We prefer that someone is available to sign for the delivery, but if this is not possible please leave alternative instructions for leaving goods when you place your order. The delivery driver will be instructed to leave your goods in a reasonably secure place and will not take the box back to the depot. The delivery will be deemed to have been made when the consignee accepts the delivery in person or the delivery driver leaves the goods.
  • All perishable goods are dispatched in insulated boxes with ice packs to ensure the goods reach you in excellent condition for up to 48 hours.

Cancellations and Amendments

Cancellation or amendment of an order or product can only be accepted if we have received notification 4 days prior to the delivery day. After this time changes may be made at our discretion, so long as we have not started processing your order. You may contact us by email, or telephone our office, from 8.30am – 4.00pm.

Liability

We are unable to accept liability for a late or failed delivery if the address is incorrect or incomplete. We do not accept liability for late delivery as dates are an estimate only and given in good faith, and deliveries are subject to prevailing weather and traffic conditions.

Nothing in these conditions will affect your statutory rights.

Satisfaction

It is our intention to provide complete satisfaction with our products and the service we provide. If you consider we have not fulfilled our promise please contact us within 24 hours of delivery and we will endeavour to resolve any issues.

We are unable to accept returned goods due to their perishable nature.

English law shall apply to any contracts of sale and English courts will have jurisdiction in the event of any dispute.

Data Protection

All payments through the website will be processed through a secure e-payment system. Any data collected by us will be used for the purposes of our dealings with you and to improve our service to you. Your details will be held securely and never disclosed to a third party without your permission.

1. STATEMENT

The Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd complies with current General Data Protection Regulations (EU) under the Data Protection 1998 and takes the security of data seriously.

The Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd Data Policy will be reviewed annually to ensure that it complies with current General Data Protection Regulations or when significant changes are made to the Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd procedures and/or processes.

All data excluding CCTV is collected to to aid the service in which the customer is experiencing.

Employees of the Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd only have access to data which they need.

All other data is stored on an electronic cloud based system in which access is restricted to folders.

6. DISPOSAL

All customers of the Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd can request their data to be deleted.

7. TRAINING

All Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd staff will be trained as part of their induction in their duties and responsibilities under the Data Protection Act 1998. All Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd staff will be trained as part of their induction. A record of completed training is maintained for all employees.

8. DATA BREACH

In the unlikely event of a data breach the Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd will conduct an internal investigation to determine how the data was breached, as to understand the types and quantity of data. Customer will be contacted as soon as the extent of the data breach is known. The Nelsons (Butchers) Ltd will also contact the ICO within the 72 hours prescribed under the General Data Protection Regulations. Actions will then be put in place to prevent this from happening in the future and if required disciplinary actions may be taken.

To further reduce the risk of data breaches staff will be retrained every 3 months, a record of this will be kept.
